A group of privately held AR companies announced that it will be presenting its augmented reality (AR) platform at the 2023 Wells Fargo Healthcare Conference on September 6, 2023, in Boston.
OnPoint is focused on creating new AR-based technologies for use with spinal, neurosurgical, and orthopedic surgical procedures. At the event in Boston, the group will present the OnPoint Alm-AR technology platform.
In a press release, OnPoint’s CEO and chairman Philipp Lang said, “OnPoint offers an attractive financial profile for hospitals and ASC's using its rapidly accretive, exceptionally accurate and cost-effective technology. It is a modular platform technology programmed for brisk expansion, since it is at the nexus of free-hand and robotic surgery. The technology is backed by an equally impressive IP portfolio of granted U.S. and international patents with a value exceeding $200 million.”
The platform is designed to be used with wearable headsets that use a transparent optical display to present surgical guides and other information to surgeons during procedures.
